Gustar means to like.
     It uses indirect object pronouns.
     It is a regular -ar verb in the preterite.

A mí me gustó el mar.
      I liked the ocean.
Te gustó la manzana.
      You liked the apple.
A nosotros nos gustó el mar.
      We liked the ocean.
A ellos les gustó la comida.
      They liked the food.
Nunca me gustaron las corridas.
      I never liked the bullfights.
A él le gustaron las canciones.
      He liked the songs.
¿Te gustaron las casas?
      Did you like the houses?
¿A ti te gustó el mar?
      Did you like the sea?
