Adverbs of place are also known as adverbs of location. They express where the verb action is carried out.

Dora: Disculpe, estoy perdida. ¿Me puede ayudar?
Excuse me, I'm lost. Can you help me?

Rodolfo: Por supuesto. ¿Qué lugar busca?
Of course. What place are you looking for?

Dora: Estoy buscando el Hotel Camino Real.
I'm looking for Hotel Camino Real.

Rodolfo: Siga recto dos cuadras más y luego cruza en la esquina.
Go straight two more blocks, and then you turn around the corner.

Dora: ¿A la derecha o a la izquierda?
Right or left?

Rodolfo: A la derecha, el hotel está a mano izquierda, enfrente del museo.
To the right, the hotel is on the left hand, in front of the museum.

Dora: ¿El museo de Arte? ¡De allí vengo! Al lado de la iglesia, ¿verdad?
The Art museum? That's where I came from! Next to the church, right?
