I am happy I came here and delighted to have made so many new friends.

Each teacher was very supportive and they provided me with a wonderful educational experience.

Everything I am learning here is practical and useful. They do not teach language theory as they do in my college.

I visited Juan Sisay in Summer 2013. The school is located in an older part of Xela (Quetzaltenango) where you can find tiendas, small pubs, launderettes and all the other necessary things. The school can find a host family to accomodate you. The 2 weeks of 1 to 1 tuition were very effective to polish up the ´street spanish´ i had learned years before, travelling in spain. The afternoon program contained very helpful informations and excursions and on weekends it´s possible to visit nearby sites of interest. Juan Sisay has honestly been like a family to me in Guatemala. I have passed through the school 3 or 4 times, studying a couple weeks here and there, and sometimes just going to the friday night graduation parties. The teachers are truly like friends to the students, and I have never seen students in any other spanish school so happy with their studying and overall experience in Guatemala. I learned a ton here, and recommend it to everyone i meet that is looking for a spanish school.

I only studied here for a week, but I was very happy with all aspects of this school. My teacher was fantastic, the placement test seemed effective, and the office staff was super friendly and attentive. I was there during a slow period, so I can't really rate the fun factor and I made my own arrangements for accommodations, so I can't score that. The facilities are a little funky, but okay. I had been attending another school in Xela (larger and well-known) where I hadn't been happy, and found Sisai to be better and cheaper. I'm very glad I made the change and I recommend this school 100%.
