Myron & I (Theresa) took Spanish Lessons from IPED September 2010, We chose to do a home stay program @ Veronica Gordon @ Veronica's Place Restaurant in Puerto Viejo,Costa Rica. We loved it! We stayed in a cabana in the back yard of Veronica & Delroy's home. I have pictures from out trip I would love to share... While staying in Puerto we met Jimi also taking Spanish awesome young man and and great friend. We took our classes on the road sight seeing, classes were on the beach, the Jaguar Animal Rescue Center in Playa Chiquita a shopping trip to Limon, water fall,jungle tour and cooking lessons at Veronica's We would go to a different restaurant in town for classes and the owners loved it! My favorite was a class at Punta Uva beach, sitting under a beach cabana a sloth dropped in just to say hi! Another day we decided to take our lessons on a mini trip on how to cross the border and how to get your passport stamped @ Saxola & shopping in Changuinola, Panama & Bocas Del Toro.Veronica & Delroy were awesome and the best Spanish instructors and tour guides. Thank you David and Zaida they take a personal interest in helping us succeed and for offering Spanish classes in Puerto Viejo. Veronica & Delroy not only kind and accommodating, but really one of those exceptional people you rarely have the pleasure of spending time with,Veronica & Delroy are enthusiastic about what they do and eager to share their knowledge with you, about medicinal plants & herbs. Veronica is a awesome chef in Puerto Viejo,they love nature. When we would have problems with our Spanish Veronica's family would help even her 7 year old grandson Bryan would help! What more could one ask for. Raquel was our Spanish instructor,"But" Veronica & Delroy would also help they took us on tours (in Spanish) We, I Highly Recommend Veronica & Delroy for the home stay program and Spanish lessons.One of the most memorable time was going to Church with Veronica & Delroy in Bocas Del Toro and Puerto Viejo, Delroy translated the service for us in English and Spanish.
