What a great place to learn Spanish. Hector and Daniel are the best; fun, smart, caring, involved, truely a qunique experience to learn about not only the Costa Rican culture but the indigenous culture of Southern Costa Rica. The area is very clean, friendly, and safe. This is perhaps the safest area of Costa Rica. I would never consider a school in San Jose or it's surrounding communities as the crime is way too high and violant. These are really good people, with a great leaning program, and they offer a look at socially conscious tourism that you will get no place else. They are personally involved in their community, and are respected by all for their work with the indigenious and their children. I am sure you will be as impressed as we are. Ginnee

If you are wondering what "pura vida" means, choose this school and you'll find out, just like I did. This is a wonderful school run by wonderful people. If you want to really experience Tico life, this is the school for you. You not only have the opportunity to study spanish, but you can also volunteer in their mission. They will also schedule tours for you. I was only there for 16 days and I was able to visit both the Carribean and the Pacific, go canyoning, and go on a tour around Cartago. I loved it so much, I can't wait to go back. You will learn SO much, even if you only go for two weeks. You will NOT regret it!

I really enjoyed my time learning Spanish here. It is a peaceful environment with an amazing view and many excursion opportunities as well as some volunteer opportunities for students to get out and see the local area. The owners are wonderful people and really help you out when you need anything. I do, however, recommend one having a little bit of a Spanish foundation before coming to one of their schools. Though they can accommodate I think it would be more helpful if you have a little bit of Spanish under your belt.
